About the Lab

Where biometric science meets user experience — exploring attention, emotion, and decision-making.

Eye-tracking Physiology Noldus Hub UX Research

A lab built to make human behavior measurable

We turn complex multimodal signals into clear evidence for better design and research.

Our centre studies user experience (UX), usability, and human–machine interaction through biometric and behavioral methods. By integrating eye-tracking, facial coding, physiological sensing, and synchronized analysis in Noldus Hub, we generate objective data that supports user-centered design across academia, business, and public institutions.

Human–Machine Interaction

How people engage with digital systems and services.

UX & Usability

Improving effectiveness, accessibility, and satisfaction.

Cognition & Decisions

Attention, workload, and choice in digital contexts.

A full picture of user experience

Each modality adds a different lens — together they reveal what users notice, feel, and struggle with.

Gaze & Attention Where eyes go, and for how long
Emotion Facial expression & affect cues
Physiology ECG, GSR, PPG responses
Behavior Observed actions & interactions

Research Toolkit

Professional equipment and software working together in one synchronized lab environment.

Behavioral Capture

Eye-tracker (Tobii)

Real-time gaze tracking for visual attention, scan paths, and interaction with digital content.

Heatmaps Fixations Scan paths
HD Camera

High-quality video recording of participants, integrated with Noldus Hub for observation and coding.

Observation Facial cues Session review

Physiological Sensing

ECG Device

Records heart electrical activity during sessions, synchronized through Noldus Hub.

Heart rate Arousal Workload cues
GSR+ Device

Measures galvanic skin response and PPG for stress, arousal, and engagement insights.

GSR PPG Stress signals

Software & Integration

Noldus Hub

All-in-one platform for synchronizing eye-tracking, video, and physiological data — with real-time visualization and multimodal analysis.

Synchronization Live monitoring Multimodal analysis
Master Workstation

Central station for launching and managing integrated experimental protocols.

Control Setup

One session. Multiple signals. Clearer insights.

Eye-tracking, video, and physiology are merged in real time via Noldus Hub for fully synchronized analysis.
